Collaborative Video Editing for Google Drive

Join the WeVideo team as they demo and share under the hood info on how they are bringing powerful video editing to Google Drive. WeVideo has integrated their collaborative browser based video editing platform with Google Drive enabling users of Drive to now create, collaborate and share all from within Drive.  The WeVideo editor is a full featured, timeline based editor where the user can add effects, music, transitions, and graphics while previewing them instantly.  We will discuss how and where the heavy lifting for HD editing gets done.

Check out this fun video created using the WeVideo offering. After that, check out how this video was made in "WeVideo - Behind the Scenes."

John was a great speaker. Product looked very interesting, previously used other video editing products that were complicated.

Charming presenter. But no one ever said what Google Drive was. I assumed and I was correct but techies should watch that acronym and assuming.

Wonderful session, a fascinating piece of software (or software suite, really), with capacities far beyond any could-based editor I've seen. Both presenters were clear and informative, and I really appreciated how open they were to questions, and how thoroughly they responded. A great evening! Many thanks to all who made it possible, and especially to the presenters.

Once we've signed in at the lobby, where do we go next?

We have a GTUG channel on YouTube that is enabled for live streaming. I share credentials to that account with our video volunteers and they do the rest. =)

Need someone that is familiar with YouTube Live. Our volunteer know how to take his camera input and my wireless mic input to produce a good quality YouTube live stream which converts to a saved video after the streaming is over.

I have a Sony HD Handycam (HDMI or with composite audio/video out), but not sure what other stuff you would need to stream...

It looks like anyone that wants to come will be able to get in this one, but, I still wanted to let everyone know that we probably won't be live streaming or recording tonight's meeting. Our regular video volunteer can not make it tonight. Sorry!

Okay. Due to low RSVP count 24 hours before event, I am turning on option to bring up to 2 guests. Please specify the number of guests using that mechanism. We do need an accurate headcount and we only get that when you register your guests properly. Mentioning them in comments is not sufficient. Thanks!

@muhammad, if that was a question rather than a statment, then the answer is "Yes, there is no charge to attend this meeting."

FYI, Indicating you will be bringing a guest on your own RSVP is not going to be honored. Meetup has a way to turn on RSVPs for guests. We intentionally turn that off because we have almost 4000 members and space for 175 attendees in our meeting venue. So, we typically don't have room for every interested group member to attend. As a result, we want spots to be taken by actual members. If you have a friend that would like to attend, I respectfully suggest they join our meetup. =)
