Proclaiming next week officially Google Wave Week in Silicon Valley =)

On Monday, you have the Bay Area Google Wave Meetup:

http://www.meetup...

This would not be a good first introductory meeting for Wave in
general. For those interesting in learning about building actual Wave
Servers and not just Wave Extensions. it would be a *great* meeting to
attend. Jochen Bekmann, a member of Sydney's Google Wave team, will be
talking about Wave Federation at this meeting in Palo Alto. He worked
on the
wave-server, the client-server and federation protocols, an
experimental IM gateway, and fiddled with various other parts of the
system.

On Wednesday, you have our own monthly meeting at Google which would
be a good introductory meeting for someone interested in writing Wave
Extensions:

Starting Friday night and going until Sunday evening, there is GTUG
Campout also at Google in Mountain View. You don't have to build
something for Google Wave, but, we are planning to support those that
do decide to work with Wave that weekend. We will do our best to get
everyone that requests it a Wave Sandbox account and there will be
some access to Googlers on the Wave team for at least part of the
weekend. Although sold out at this point, we opened up a new block of
WaitList tickets that you can still sign up for. I'm optimistic that
even someone signing up now for a WaitList ticket will get in. It will
depend on the cancellations and no-shows from the main block of
already sold out tickets. It is not too late to sign up for the
waiting list:
