Heads Up: Want to Make a Difference? Hack for Change Interest Form,due 12pm 5/23

Important Notice: Heads Up events listed at the Google Developer Group (GDG) East Bay are selected events that some members may be interested.


Important Notice: There is an update for participating "Hack for Change" event.

1) Interested attendee must first fill up the two-page doc HERE by . its due time: noon (12PM, Pacific Time), Thursday, May 23rd, 2013.

2) Selected applicants will get an official invitation later on Thursday, 5/23/2013.

3) Your registration on the eventbrite URL that I posted earlier is no longer valid for admission for this event.


On June 1-2, 2013, as part of the National Day of Civic Hacking, developers, citizens and entrepreneurs across the nation will come together to use recently released public data to build the next generation of applications and tools surrounding our public services.

Google will be hosting Hack for Change, a civic hacking event, at our Mountain View Headquarters.We’ll be training attendees on the latest Google technologies to build new and innovative solutions. Through partnerships with a diverse group of attendees, you can make a big impact at this two-day Hack for Change event.

      Yeah, just got that today. I wish I researched this more. I just moved to Santa Clara this week so I missed the cut. Hopefully there is more like this before my internship is up in August.

    I think I've filled the form before the deadline, but I didn't receive any reply from Google Events. And one of my friend got the invite but forgot to sign up.
