Sessions Description:

Title: The Long Journey Home: Increasing Email Delivery Rates For Your App

Description: When you need to communicate with customers, email is often the first choice.  It's fast and convenient, allowing your users to reply when they have time so they can pay your invoice, read the newsletter about the latest feature and get pinged when someone replies to their latest in-app message.  But what happens when your messages end up in the spam folder or your domain gets blacklisted? We'll explore best practices when it comes to ensuring your email gets delivered and how to address this in different development environments.  Customer examples will include Dwolla, Gidsy and TaskRabbit.

Title: Say it to my Face: Creating a more personal web experience with live video.

Description: Live video adds a level of personalization and convenience to your web/mobile application. If you run a education site, hardware store, or consultation service, you've probably thought about adding live video. Traditionally, that involves getting a media server, maintaining connection logic, worry about bandwidth and scalability, etc.

Learn about OpenTok's history, the transformation from a online video-chat application to become the most widely used platform for adding live video to your application. See how partners like Double Robotics, eBuddy, and 2nd MD are using OpenTok!

More importantly, we'll also be putting together a live video chat application using the latest WebRTC technology.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
