The idea to have a day dedicated to enjoying German culture in Atlanta returns to Woodruff Park. Atlanta’s German Bierfest is set to make its triumphant return to historic Woodruff Park on Saturday, August 24, 2013.
Showcasing 40-plus beers from throughout Germany, the summer event will feature live entertainment by Chattanooga’s dance band The Wurstbrats and welcomes some of the city’s best local restaurants including Der Biergarten and Petite Auberge.
Atlanta’s German Bierfest is a refreshing approach in the midst of common beer festivals, paying homage to the Reinheitsgebot (German Beer Purity Law) that have made brewing German beer an art form and the outcome, arguably one of the most popular beers in the world.
As the one and only authentic German Bierfest in Georgia, the festival relaunched an all new website (www.germanbierfest.com) to celebrate ten years. Local artists submitted their creativity for its very first T-Shirt design contest with the winning design, by Lauren Holman, unveiled on all German Bierfest T-Shirts.
With VIP Tickets already sold out, general admission to Atlanta’s German Bierfest is priced at $40.00 in advance and includes a commemorative glass and all the German beer you can safely consume.

Atlanta’s German Bierfest was born out of the simple idea: have a day dedicated to enjoy German beer, food, and music.
With the idea to bring a taste of German culture to Atlanta, the festival grew and gained popularity over the years.
Starting out in 2003 in what felt like a backyard get together with 150 guest and a selection of 16 German beers, the Bierfest team moved on, inspired by the popularity of its guests. Ideas evolved along with location, beer selection and attendees number. Over the past year’s the festival has grown to become a favored ceremony, welcoming thousands of beer enthusiasts; featuring nearly 50 German beers in the one and only authentic, family-friendly German Bierfest in Atlanta.
We’re excited to celebrate our 10th anniversary with our loyal guests and friends. Save the date for August 24th to experience the same excitement we started with ten years ago.
Off course for this festive occasion, we’re planning exclusive specials, so stay in touch!
