Edible Charlotte explores the local and sustainable food movement while also celebrating the role that food plays in our lives. Through rich content and striking photography, edible Charlotte connects readers with the region’s growing food culture. All this, plus recipes and information on where to eat, shop, and visit makes us an indispensable resource for anyone passionate about good food.

We are part of a community of over 70 magazines across the country called Edible Communities Publications, proud recipients of the 2011 James Beard Foundation Publication of the Year Award. The award recognizes a publication—in magazine, newspaper, or digital format—that demonstrates fresh directions, worthy ambitions, and a forward-looking approach to food journalism.

Edible Charlotte launched in the summer of 2012. We look forward to serving up compelling stories and valuable information about food to the greater Charlotte region each quarter. Our geography covers the NC counties of: Mecklenburg, Union, Gaston, Lincoln, Iredell, Cleveland, Catawba, Rowan, Cabarrus, Stanly, Yadkin, Surry, Alexander, Davie, Wilkes; and York county in SC.

NoDa Brewing Company opened its doors to the world on October 29, 2011 and is one of Charlotte’s newest home-grown microbreweries for beer lovers in the Carolinas! This unique production brewery in the Queen City’s NoDa neighborhood crafts small-batch premium beers, offering something for nearly every beer drinker.

NoDa’s name comes from the street, North Davidson, which ignited a community to convert an age old mill town into an arts district. The
NoDa neighborhood is known as the creative center of Charlotte: as a natural extension of NoDa’s artistic spirit, there isn’t a better place for a brewery to call home!

Using our 15 barrel brew house, we create the highest quality beers for local restaurants and pubs, as well as our tap room. Our beer styles have a Northwestern feel, showcasing American Pale Ales, India Pale Ales, and Porters. Our small size gives us the flexibility to introduce many unique and artistic recipes as well as our renditions of classic varieties such as Stouts,
Witbiers, and Winter Warmers.

Each Tuesday, we debut a new beer, that we call our NoDable Series, only available in our tap room.  It’s part research & development, part mad scientist.  Look for our videos each week describing the NoDable Series Release, then come down to the tap room and enjoy. You’ll soon find out why we call it NoDable.
