GEAM Comedy Night : CHARLES VIRACOLA at The Comedy Zone Charlotte

This Week's Headliner is:

(Straight from "Planet Charlie")

Simply put, Charlie Viracola wants to change the world. This unusual comedian/actor has launched his own planet, “Planet Charlie”. A place he describes as the perfect world-void of ignorance. Through insightful, humorous observational comedy Charlie is signing up multitudes of fans everywhere, or as he puts it “new citizens of Planet Charlie”.His high energy, off-beat, change the world comedy act has been seen many times on Showtime, A&E, NBC, HBO, MTV, Comedy Central and internationally on the BBC, when he plays to sell out crowds in London. He was raised performing in the theatre and later his acting skills led him to a principle role in the feature film, “UnderCover” along with many other live theatre performances. Charlie’s Comedy Central 1/2 hour comedy special “Life on Planet Charlie” put this misfit on the map. It is the dramatic follow up to his first 1/2 hour comedy special still currently running on Showtime.

(Please note - tickets for this show are free; however, the Comedy Zone politely requires you to make a minimum $6 food/beverage purchase during the show. Scroll to the bottom for additional information.)

This is a guaranteed night of laughs! The show is held downstairs inside The Saloon, located in the NC Music Factory complex. Go through The Saloon to the back and go downstairs to the Comedy Zone. Tell the hostess you are with the GEAM group and you will be shown to our reserved area.

The show starts at 8:00pm and the doors open at 7:00... But please try to arrive no later than 7:30pm and get a good seat. If you are late, you may not be able to get in! They serve a full menu for the show so feel free to order dinner.

PLEASE NOTE - Since these tickets are not free to the general public please be sure you can attend if you RSVP 'Yes' since we do not want to reserve tickets we are not going to use. Members who are a No-Show or a Late Cancellation for this event may be prohibited from RSVPing for future free comedy events. We don't like to be the heavy hand on this but if we continue to have no-shows the venue will start charging us for tickets and that is not fair to others in the group who RSVP and show up. Thanks in advance for understanding!

FREE TICKET POLICY - While the tickets for the show are free, Meetup members are asked to make a minimum $6 food/beverage purchase. We have enjoyed years of free shows; however, the CZ management is asking all Meetup members to comply with this request since so many people have been attending the shows and not purchasing anything. Unfortunately, the comics still need to get paid and CZ can't pay them if you don't spend any money! If you do not purchase anything, you will be charged $6 for attending the show.

Also, due to the size of the group attending, the Comedy Zone will automatically add gratuity to your bill. Please be aware of that when you close out your tab at the end of the evening.
