Gourmet on a Budget Cooking Class – Sushi, Fresh Vietnamese Spring Rolls (not fried), and fried rolls (with a twist).


Rolling, rolling, rolling….

Do you love sushi and wish you could make it yourself? Why spend a lot of money on substandard sushi and other fun yummy rolls when you can make your own? People don’t realize how easy, inexpensive, and fast it is to make gourmet food on a budget. Impress your friends and family and learn how to make and roll your own sushi (maki and temaki), prepare fresh Vietnamese Spring Rolls (with rice paper) with both a nuoc mam (YUMMY!) and a peanut dipping sauce, and fry up some wonderful rolls made from the same pastry you make lumpia with.


This class will teach you the basics and will show you how different flavor combinations can make unique and exciting flavor profiles because these ain’t yo momma’s rolls, this is gourmet food! This is a fusion class so the combinations we will make may not be traditional but they will be delicious!


You don't have to be a good cook to attend.

I will show you how to make a lot of different items and you will get to try all of them so be prepared to EAT!

The class is a $20 donation and is well worth it since you will be an expert gourmet food maker at the end of it!  PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP IF YOU ARE CERTAIN THAT YOU WILL ATTEND! Payment will need to be made in advance using a paypal account that I will furnish you.  Please BYOB if you care to as I will not be furnishing alcohol.


A little about Rhonda: Some of you may already know her and have tasted her food since cooking is her passion. She has traveled extensively to 29 countries and she takes a bit from here and there and creates unique dishes. Therefore, most of the food she makes is not traditional but a fusion of different cultures. She is not classically trained but is a product of the world and the wonderful flavors that come from it.
