Queen's Feast at Waldhorn Restaurant

Please join us for restaurant week for a German meal. The Waldhorn is a charming, inviting, family-owned restaurant serving housemade traditional and contemporary cuisine, with the feel of dining in an Alpine chalet. An international wine list, 12 German beers on draft, and a full bar will enhance your dining experience. Husband and wife Thomas and Gitta Maier opened the Waldhorn in June 1999 and named it for Gitta’s parents’ restaurant in Germany, where Gitta grew up and studied the culinary arts near Stuttgart, while Tom graduated the Culinary Institute of America in New York. The Waldhorn has been rated one of the top 10 German restaurants in the USA four consecutive years in a row! Here's the menu for restaurant week:
Vorspeisen / Appetizer (choice of one)

Bratwurst Vorspeise / Sausage Appetizer - sampler of assorted German sausages with sauerkraut

Rinder Carpaccio / Beef Tenderloin - raw, sliced paper-thin, then marinated and served with sour cream and salad bouquet

Kartoffelpuffer / Two Potato Pancakes - with apple sauce

Waldhorn Salat / Salad - German potato salad, carrot salad, cucumber salad, orzo pasta salad, topped with mixed greens in house vinaigrette

Suppen / Cup of Soup (choice of one)

Ungarische Gulaschsuppe / Hungarian Goulash

Hauptspeisen / Entree (choice of one)

Wienerschnitzel / Breaded Veal Cutlets - served with French fries and vegetable of the day

Schweizer Schnitzel / Breaded Pork Cutlet - stuffed with Black Forest ham and Swiss cheese, served with spätzle and vegetable of the day

Jägerschnitzel vom Schwein / Sauteed Pork Cutlets - topped with traditional Hunter sauce, served with homemade spätzle and red cabbage

Waldhorn’s Sampler / Beef Roulade, Roast Pork Loin & Bratwurst - served with spätzle and red cabbage

Gebratene Ente / Oven-Roasted Half Duck - with an orange-apple sauce, served with bread dumplings and red cabbage

Rostbraten / Grilled Rib Eye Steak - topped with sautéed onions and mushrooms, served with mashed potatoes and vegetable of the day

Gegrillter Lachs “Riesling” / Grilled Salmon - with a Riesling sauce, served with almond rice and vegetable of the day

Schwäbische Wurstplatte / Bratwurst, Knockwurst and Bauernbratwurst - served with sauerkraut and home fries
