Hometown: Cleveland, OH
September 4, 2008
Cleveland, OH, with stints in Cincinnati, Philadelphia, New York, Youngstown, OH, and then back to Cleveland.
I'm fondest of Georges Brasserie. The Gallery is good, too.
The Maisonette, in Cincinnati, which, alas, is closed. It was a gem if very expensive. Last time there dinner for 2 cost us about $350, so it wasn't a frequent haunt. In Cleveland there's Parkers, but it has gone bistro. Le Champignon in Philly.
I'm interested in all types I haven't tried, provided it's not on my allergy list. I've had reindeer, venison, antelope, all sorts of fish, sushi, Asian of all sorts, even insects, so I'm searching. I'm not in a hurry to try additional insects.
I'm a self-proclaimed gourmet cook and lover of fine food and interesting new culinary experiences. When I lived in Cleveland I coordinated a monthly dining group for about a year and participated in another.
Splendid group, well committed to finding the best in Charlotte and creating fun for all.
