Lower Richland Sweet Potato Festival

This Festival was designed to bring family, friends and the community together. It started as a small community event, but now has grown over the years to reach out to all the counties and states to enjoy what the Lower Richland Festival has to offer. The Festival is also designed to cater to all ages. There will be prizes for the Sweet Potato Contest and the Crafts. Entertainment includes a parade starting at 11am, praise dancers, mime, step team, drum line, health fair, live band, arts & craft games, music, Palmetto Amusement for the children, Prissi The Clown with face painting and more. Rolling Video Games for the older children, DJ Prince Ice, Deloris Smith Singers, Saxophonist Dante Lewis, gospel recording Artist Melvin Williams, R&B Unique, Tree Pleesn Rapper and our emcee will be the great Curtis Wilson. We look forward to a great time with friends and family so bring your lawn chairs. This is a FREE event.

    I was the only that showed up. I waited 40 min. I did have someone call me and tell me they were running late and then were block in traffic (polite).

    I was finally able to get through the traffic and arrived at 1245. Was not able to locate the group, but Deena & I walked around and left with a sweet potato pie in hand. Sorry Shelia, we tried to get there on time
