Fellow Good Eaters!
I wanted to personally take a moment to wish you all a very Happy New Year and to thank you for being part of Good Eats and Meets. You might not be aware of it, but you are part of the largest Dining and Socializing on Meetup! That’s right, the entire United States of America! We have stayed true to our roots of being a FREE membership group, offering an array of events for all tastes and preferences. Your participation in Good Eats and Meets means everything to the success of the group. This year, GEAM was able to accomplish a few astonishing goals.
A few highlights from this year include:
We took part in numerous Food and Wine Festivals, including ones held in Asheville, Atlanta, Charleston, Miami and the Outer Banks
Looking forward to 2014, I want GEAM to get back to the basics of Good Food and Great Company. We will be implementing some changes that we hope you'll like and will be announcing those shortly. We'll also need your feedback to continually improve our events and membership satisfaction. You will be receiving a separate email with a link to a quick membership survey. We really would love your feedback. We will use the survey results to help plan future 2014 events.
The only thing that makes Good Food better is Great Company. That's where you come in. Our events are only possible through your involvement. This is an active group, and we need you there! Please check the calendar often and adhere to our No Show policy. It takes a lot of work to put these events together and our relationships are formed by having the proper turnouts. No Call and No Shows WILL NOT be tolerated and those that repeat this will be removed from the group.
In addition, we are actively seeking Organizers, Co-Hosts, and IceBreakers for the group and events. If you are interested in learning more about helping us grow Good Eats and Meets (there are some great perks for taking part), please reach out to me personally. My email is [address removed] I will be coming to town in the near future and will be scheduling some organizer meetings and look forward to what we can accomplish.
I look forward to 2014 and welcome a new season of Good Eats and Meets…See you soon and come hungry!
