Solstice Party

It's inevitable that we succumb to insanity with all the relentless holiday music (and muzak) being played right now. Might as well enjoy it by toasting in Cthulhu's name.

If you have 'em, dust off the Halloween ghost robe costumes and come as a cultist! If not, then you're still free to come ;) although we might have a few spare robes for people to borrow.

Ichor (homemade eggnog) and heart-shaped cakes are being planned for the theme. Background music will be by the insane folks at the HPL Historical Society (check out Youtube, start with "It's Beginning to Look a Lot like Fishmen").

We have a couple social party games we can bust out, such as Mafia/Werewolves, Aye! Dark Overlord, and Loaded Questions. Feel free to bring your own to share as well.

As usual, if anyone gets lost/late/wants to drunk dial "Ia! Ia! F'thlagn!", then my cell phone is[masked]

Additionally, Tera and I have cats and a dog. Dogs are always welcomed at our place so long as they get along with cats. Zin loves the company!

Lastly, if people want to do White Elephant, send a message to either Stacy or Sarah. The White Elephant will be an optional side quest not related to the Solstice Party.

Oh my, you guys are so awesome! Just joined the group today and don't have anything to wear, so I think I'll pass this time, but I'm definitely interested in hanging out with awesome people like you guys!

I just joined this board 2 mins ago, but this sounds like a lot of fun!! I don't have a robe but I have Cassock... do you need a black priest? I can't claim to have any sort of knowledge of any "dark arts" or religions though. I have Monty Python Fluxx and Risk StarCraft, both of which I've never played but really want too! I can bring a drink to share too :)

The robes are a gag theme, aren't that important, and color doesn't matter. Cthulhu isn't part of dark arts either, just science fiction about insanity and horror.

I'm looking forward to this, but I think I'm going to be a little late. Is it ok if I'm there around 3 or 4?

      That's fine

I'd love to be there. And I'll make a goal to be... But I'll have to leave work early and I'd be a little late.

I had every intention to come to this... But I spent the last two days sick in bed. I hoped I was going to feel better, but I don't. I hope the party is a blast, and maybe I can catch the next meet up.

Hello everyone. This sounds like a fun event..but I must admit I'm not fammiliar with any of the games mentioned! *blush* May I as what the Cthulhu game is? The prospect of wearing a halloween robe is freaken awesome. lol.

No Cthulhu game for this event, although there will be another Arkham Horror game day in January. Mafia is a popular summer camp game invented by a Russian psychologist, Dark Overlord is story improvisation using cards, and Loaded Questions is a party game where you match people's answers to a question.
