Game Designer Sessions

Have an idea for a game?  Enjoy tinkering with rules, graphic design, or game theory?  Maybe you're just looking for someone to bounce ideas off before you commit yourself?

This meetup series is for game designers of all types and experience levels, from those employed in the industry to enthusiastic hobbyists.  Each meeting will include time for play-testing and providing feedback on participant works-in-progress.

Discussion topics, speakers, and other special events will be noted on specific sessions.

If you're bringing something to play-test, please post a comment; tell us a bit about it, what makes it cool or unique, and what you're hoping to learn from the testing.  "Is this worth developing?" is a perfectly valid testing question.

Have an idea for a discussion or special event?  Post it to the Thoughts for 2014 discussion thread in the Designer Round Table.

Thanks for playing last night! I got great feedback - already made some revisions to the game I think will seriously help the fun and add more humor to the game. See ya'll next time!

Had fun playing your game last night. First time at the meetup and first euro game and both were neat. Thanks for sharing. Charter idea... First page played into the charter house counts as two. Could be quite powerful over the course of the game.

I can bring my game again if people want to actually play it instead of just talking about the ridiculousness of it :-)

Since I'm not familiar with it I'm wondering what makes it ridiculous :)

FYI: Game times have been about 45 minutes with 3-6 players who have played before. About 15 minutes of discussion usually entails when new players are present, so we may need to block out about an hour. The current prototype supports up to 10 players, but the finished product will probably only support 6 out of the box.

Going to have to miss this one. Will be out of town for business. Looking forward to the next event.
