Hopefully it's ok to use the message board for this, but I can't think of a better pool from which I'd like to find a roommate.
I'm renting a house in Tempe (near Priest and University) from my boyfriend, which means A) I'm rarely home to bother a roomie and B) I'm able to fix and change basically anything I want about the house, unlike a traditional rental arrangement. So I'm in the process of creating a garden in the front yard to grow tons of yummy food and pretty flowers, and I'm mostly done tiling the bathroom, and slowly improving other stuff around the house. So if you either feel artsy and love DIY pride in creating your ideal space yourself, or you don't mind if I do, it's a cool and inexpensive place to live. We're talking somewhere in the range of $350/month depending on the cost of utilities, which will be split.
I'm vegan, so ideally another vegetarian of some type would be applying, but my previous roomies were omnivores and I can live with that too. :) I do have 2 friendly kitties, and additional cats would be welcome as long as you're ok with a long, slow, low-trauma method of introducing them to each other (mine are friendly but all cats stress easily and need slow changes). I'm very laid back, environmentally-friendly (recycling bin fills up way faster than trash, and I compost!), and very social, so I'm often not here, or sometimes offer up the place for the occasional Meetup event or party (parties only a couple times a year or so, not every weekend, etc.)
