Introduction

Greetings, fellow nerds. I'm the scriptwriter for YogaQuest. I'm also a Warrior Princess, and one of the Creative Directors for Geek Physique. I love the silly things we do! So many amazing opportunities for me to get off my rear and move! Hoot!

What are your favorite ways to work out? List anything you enjoy that involves getting off the couch.

I never used to be a person who willingly chose physical activities, but man... nowadays I find myself eagerly anticipating my play-time ("workouts" to the party poopers out there). I have far too much fun to call it working out, even if I'm working up a sweat and challenging major muscle groups. There are several things I tend to participate in... Aikido at Geek Physique and Shuharikan Dojo, YogaQuest, Klingon Bat'Leth Training, hiking in regional and state parks, disc golf, riding my recumbent exercise bike while watching Xena: Warrior Princess (yiyiyiyiyi!), occasionally Sweatin' to the Oldies with Richard Simmons (corny but actually kind of fun!), Bowflex.

Just how geeky are you?

I am an enormous geek. As a child, my favorite games were Dungeons & Dragons, The Backyard is Lava, and "I'm Sarah Jane Smith, you're the Doctor, and there's a Dalek over there -- RUN!" I still play D&D (1st edition!) -- I play a half-elf Ranger who awoke one morning to discover she'd sprouted fully-functional, rather large wings. AWESOME. In the Kirk vs. Picard war, I have to throw my lot in with, "Tea, Earl Grey, hot." I've read LOTR enough times to have a very detailed opinion of The Tom Bombadil Question, and no, I don't mind that some of the dwarves in the upcoming Hobbit movies are kind of dreamy. I swoon at the mention of: Carl Sagan, Neil Gaiman, Joss Whedon, NPH, John Barrowman, Bruce Campbell, Lucy Lawless, Willow Rosenberg, Captain Tightpants, Wil Wheaton, and The Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker). Some of my first words were, "This is an EX-PARROT." I strongly advise you to avoid any confections produced by the Whizzo Chocolate Company, unless you're keen on Crunchy Frog.

  • Jenny, it was great meeting you, too. It was a blast at Yoga Quest last night, and a lot fun to hang and chat afterwards. I look forward to seeing you soon!

  • Hey Jenny, it was fun meeting you at last! You're just as awesome in person as you were online. And yes, if yoga quest is on a night that I can make it, I hope to do it again!
