Creating this meetup to let everyone know about a great lecture this Sunday that is part of the Skeptics Distinguished Science Lecture Series at Caltech.
IMPORTANT: This event page is for information ONLY, there is no host. If anyone would like to host, please send me a message. If you are already planning to attend, post a comment. You might find other GA members who will be in attendance.
FYI: The skeptic society members and many lecture attendees typically dine at Burger Continental (535 S Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA) after the lecture. Everyone is extremely friendly and the place is large enough to accommodate additional guests.
About the lecture: U.C. San Diego cognitive psychologist Benjamin K. Bergen draws together research in psychology, linguistics, and neuroscience to offer a new theory of how our minds make meaning.
Tickets: First come, first served at the door. Seating is limited. $10 for Skeptics Society members and the JPL/Caltech community, $15 for nonmembers. Your admission fee is a donation that pays for our lecture expenses.
