Generation Atheist Monthly Meetup

See what another atheist looks like (outside of the colloquial closet). We push some tables together, order some food/drinks and strike up conversations on anything that interests us. We're not formal, we chat about whatever we want, atheism related or not, as it's more of a meetup than a meeting.

There's usually a range between 15 to 25 of us each time. If you can't find us after admitting your atheism to random strangers while looking for our table, try the cell[masked]-1980.

See you there!

Ooopps! Sorry---I didn't realize that the group is for 20s and 30s. I'm sure that I will qualify for many other groups, but if you multiply 30 by 2 and add 5, then you will know why I do not qualify for this group! Wish I knew about this group when I was your ages, tho!Anyway, thanks--and my best to all of you--take care--Maureen (Er...so, Michael, will you please change my RSVP from attending to not not attending due to-alas-the progression of time? Merci Ü Maureen

Sounds very cool--It's sufficiently near my home in southeast L.A. (Watts) so I can make it. I was raised Catholic: Catholic high school and Catholic college. Later in life, I made 2 very good friends who started me thinkin'--the rest is history! I attended my first atheist group ( viewed Invention of Lying) and was so glad to meet other atheists--esp. since AU people use reason. Equally positive to me is that they are concerned about others in the community. I'm looking forward to the 16th and feel privileged to be with like-minded people. See you there! Maureen

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
