Rails and Angular.js (by Sean Carroll)

Using Rails as an API and leaving the UX to Angular.js is quite a departure from traditional Rails development, and it had a steep learning curve for Sean Carroll. He will present on how to integrate Rails with Angular, as well as the pitfalls encountered when transforming a production Rails 3 application into Rails/Angular.

The German hosting company I mentioned in the talk is http://www.hetzner.de/en/ If anyone has any experience with them I would like to hear it, as we are about to migrate to them. Email me on [masked]

Hi all, things came up, and I wasn't able to attend. A real pity because I really wanted to see how you go about it. Looking forward to seeing the slides!

    Hi Dan,
I'll publish the slides afterwards, so if you have to leave you can grab a copy. I don't expect the talk to go for the full hour. Cheers,
    Sean

Hi Geneva.rb, I'm considering attending and am wondering how late the meetup typically goes. In order to get back to Leysin I would need be on the 21:33 train, but would not want to miss much of the meeting.

      Hi Dan,
The talk itself should not be a lot more than 1 hour and we usually have a drink afterward. Some of us sometimes also go for a pizza later on. You should not miss a lot by taking the train back to Leysin at 21:33.
