San Luis Rey River Trail Geocache Bike Run!!!!

I have always wanted to hit the string of caches located on the San Luis Rey River Trail in Oceanside! This will be a bike 'n cache run. We will start near the Oceanside Transit Center and head North and then East on the trail. I plan to ride all the way up the trail which looks to be about 9 miles... Don't know how many we can get but willing to try to go as far as everyone wants to! We will meet at the "2 VETS CACHE #1" which is GZ ---->GC15KCJ. I am limiting this run to 10 riders (including me). Please contact me if you have any questions. Also, this is a LONG ride so no chioldren please. Must be able to handle this proposed 18+ mile ride.... We will go at a reasonable pace.... Also, to all those that RSVP I will send one of my excellent maps of the route in PDF format!!!!

Had a great cache run with Karen T. Everyone else failed to show up...but that's fine as we made a great run of it anyway. Having cached with Karen T. before we were right in sync finding these caches....She is getting good!

Hey Chuy! Ya, a little late.... Didn't have any containers with us anyway... Thanks for the heads up though! Great ride... Only hit 1/2 the caches on this trail....Will have to come back for the other 1/2 on another meetup....

This may be too late, but... I have a disabled cache on the SLR river trail, http://coord.info/GC259KV-Taggers on the SLRRT. You are welcomed to drop a replacement container and claim a find. I was going to find a new place on the north side of the trail, away from the wall where the taggers keep finding my cache.

Ya! It's Karen T.!!!! Glad you can join us!!! It will be fun to cache with you again! Any bike will do I think, it is a paved trail (though I have never been there so I am going by what I see on Google Maps)... I was thinking of bringing my clown bike but it only has one gear - reverse.... See you there! I will send you the map tonight! Regards, Andy

You do not need a GPSr for this trip! I have a GPSr mount on my bike and I know rrobster will have his as well. Hope you can make it! Regards, Andy

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
