Don't necessarily want to lead the Hussars here but taking a peak at http://www.meetup.com... might provide a few other options to Frederic's excellent thought about running up a trial balloon. In fact, shortly before a larger event like the Maryland German Festival or the annual Great German Family Picnic, having balloon(s) made up with the Meetup logo on it (and filled with helium not hydrogen) would not only be a great way of guiding existing group members to our table but would also serve to let others know that a German Language Meetup Group is alive and well - and accessible to all who'd wish to attend future events with German speakers. Was Sie meint?

The vendor list may have changed slightly but I wasn't able to detect much change excepting the clothing vendor was absent this year. There was room for dancing on either side of the bandstand which I was able to take full advantage of. Everyone was friendly and I saw a lot of old acquaintances and mat some new friends too.

I thought that relocating the band to the back wall was an excellent idea. It seemed as thought there were more picnic tables added this year too, and most all of them appeared nearly full around 4:30 on Saturday evening. Saturday is usually the biggest day but one could still have lots of fun on a Sunday too if any of you have the time to make it to Timonium.
