Suggest a Meetup

It is important to read the points below before suggesting the event.

  • Hosting an event can be a fun experience, and a good way to meet new people.

  • Check our calendar to make sure your event is not conflicting with another one at the same time. We do allow duplication if the event is a different type or in another area of town.

  • It is more likely to be posted if you are willing to host it.

  • To host, you must have a current picture of yourself on your meetup profile. We want attending members to be able to recognize you. Also, you need to be an active member, or in other words, you have attended several other events in the past

  • The posting should be clear as to Where, When and What the members will be doing.

  • Collecting money for an event in advance is not allowed, unless you get permission from Gregg and Linda. Collecting money is extra work, can be a frustrating experience and puts us at risk for the money collected. Arrange for payments to go directly to the business if possible.

  • Include a good way for members to find you at the location.
    (Land Mark, Signs, Balloons, Informing the host at the door...etc.)

  • Make sure your event fits what is listed in the posting. Date, time, meeting spot and topic. This is not the place to start your own agenda or solicit members for your own group.

  • The event should be for "Get Out Get Social" members and their guests only. The person hosting should not be inviting other groups.

  • Be sure to check out the "What are the duties of an Event Host" page before sending your request.

  • Event Location Name:

  • Event Location Address:

  • How will members find you at your event:

  • The Maximum Number of Members that can signup: (optional).

  • Other information to put in the body of the event posting:(Here is where you let members know all the details, so they know what your event is all about.)

We can not guarantee it will be posted, but we will let you know why, if it is not.
