Mary Gallagher's Ghost Haunting in Griffintown

No location was chosen

Greetings To All Ghost Hunters,

Our next destination is Griffintown.

We will be heading back in time to a site where a horrific murder took place in 1879. And where the ghost of the victime have lingered ever since. The ghost of Mary Gallagher. Her ghost have been spoted many times.

UPDATE: I have invited 3 psychics to join us(one has confirmed coming i'm waiting for the other 2). So we will not only be visiting the area but we gonna try to make contact too.
Due to the number of people that are very interested in joining us i have decided to open it up for everyone. There will be no reservation limits this time. Everyone can join us.

"Since Mary Gallagher of Griffintown was murdered by jealous rival Susan Kennedy at a house at the corner of William and Murray on June 27, 1879, the chilling presence of Gallagher's troubled ghost has traumatized young souls from the area."
from http://www.montrealmi...

There is also a movie that was made about this ghost. Maybe we could watch the movie somewhere??

Ghosts of Griffintown

"It is perhaps Montreal's favorite ghost story: 'Mary Gallagher, a prostitute, was brutally murdered on June 26, 1879 at 242 William Street in Montreal. Soon after, the residence was besieged by neighbours in this Irish community of Griffintown, curious as to what had happened. Now, each and every seven years, a small group of ex-Griffintowners meet at the corner of William and Murray, also curious, to watch for her ghost.' "
from http://montreal.com/c...

I will let you know in time where we'll be meeting before heading to William street.

But first i wanna thank our good friend and organizer "Aurora" for this great idea. Thank you Aurora :)

~Patrick

I can't wait to once again take part in another ghost hunting meeting. This one sounds really interesting and I'll probably have 1 or 2 friends tagging along, one that has possibly already had some ghost encounters before (and possibly has some powers that haven't yet fully developed). Looking forward to this.

Federico...Just a camera is enough, if you have one. If you have an EMF (Electro Magnetic Field) meter then bring it along as well. Some people use an ordinary compass instead of an emf meter. It's not that sensitive but still its better then nothing. It will show you changes in the magnetic field. Tiny compasses are more sensitive then bigger ones by the way. But i think the most important tool is a camera. More cameras digital cameras there are the more chances we have in catching something.

Update: I might have only one friend coming over until around 9.. she finds this meeting really interesting, sadly she has to go to work at 3 AM..
Question: How are we going to get to the place? (by metro/car.. foot? ) and where is the meeting place? Has it already been decided upon?

Hi Heidi..The meeting location will be chosen soon. The closest subway btw is Bonaventure subway station. The Planetarium which is very close to william street is also a couple of minutes away from Bonaventure subway station. So a possible meeting location might be in front of that subway station...We will see.

Tonight would have been organized better if i had more time on my hand. I was out of town for some time and i got back Saturday morning. So not much time was left for me to do anything really.

About what i said on the right. Judy wasn't picking up info on Mary but on a building that was standing there in the past where horrific events occured. much wrose to what Mary Galagher went through. And judy left to sit in the car(not because of the cold)but because she was blown away by what she saw. So she needed to pull her self away and stop what she was seeing.Another thing she picked up 38 before we arrived and felt another woman in her twenties. Also one of the ladies had blue eyes.

Thank you all for coming:)..It was a pleasure meeting you. It was quiet interesting what Judy picked up in there eh. That there was much more horrible things that went on in this building where Mary galagher was murdered then actually her murder. I think some members have felt or picked up things in there too but could not talk about what they were feeling. For those who couldn't make it this time..Not to worry..We will go there again in the future i'm sure and we will be better dressed for this. Tonight it was just very cold. I like the cold but tonight was too much and we weren't well dressed either for that.

Good meeting - good group of people giving their own thoughts and experiences - Patrick accepts everyone's thoughts and views on the subject without preference - pity the weather was so uncooperative.
