  • Thanks Chad! I'm doing the sound to narrows this Saturday, Five Mile Lake Tri at the end of the month and the Bonney Lake Tri in August! :)

  • I am just wondering where you are swimming? I am usually available on Mondays (I have a meeting this week, darn) I am glad to do outside or in the gym swims. I am not a member of the Y at this time but I would consider joining if you're going to that pool. Or Curtis will be fine. I am training for an ultra in August as well. (Not an ironman!! You are a ROCK to do that) Where and when are you doing your runs?

  • Sounds like a plan.....I'll look for your posted "meet ups."

  • Good advice about the goggles as I just have the small ones for the pool work. Working on getting a wetsuit but getting together at the pool first sounds good. By any chance are you a YMCA member? Right now I'm swimming at Morgan Family Branch on Pearl St. but I'm flexible on location....thanks Chad.

  • Chad Crescent Lake works for me and is fairly close (I'm in Tacoma). I plan on getting started in May as the first swim I'm doing is in June. I am averaging about 8 to 10 miles a week in the pool but have no experience in open water....any tips/tactics you can share will be greatly appreciated. Do you normally wear a wetsuit in May?

  • Thanks for coming out to the group ride today. It was fun meeting another fanatic and learning more tricks of the trade. Keep it up!

  • Thanks Chad, had a great time at the indoor class. It seemed a little silly for me to ride 14 miles in order to ride five, but I had a good time. Looking forward to doing a couple more classes. Hope to see you there.

  • Hi Chad, thanks for the note. I see you are doing an open water swim tomorrow. Unfortunately I'm busy, but I'd love to join you sometime soon!
