Fight Like Apes and more...

10 Days in Dublin Fundraiser - with Fight Like Apes, Benny Smiles, Come On Live Long, Tujacques and more

We here at 10 Days in Dublin, Ireland's only completely open multi-disciplinary arts festival, are kicking into gear with their 2013 festival and we need your help. Over the next short while, we're aiming to raise €10,000 in donations in order to fund the costs of setting up for the festival's most ambitious year yet.

However, we're not just coming out, cap-in-hand, looking for donations. At the core of this '10 Grand in Dublin' project are three very special fundraising gigs, the first of which takes place in the Workman's Club on Friday 15th February, which features the amazing Fight Like Apes, along with some very special guests.

Fight Like Apes need little introduction to the capital's music fans. Their first two albums 'Fight Like Apes and the Mystery of the Golden Medallion' and 'The Body of Christ and the Legs of Tina Turner' received critical acclaim, leading to the Irish Times referring to them as the fourth best Irish band of their generation. They are currently getting ready to launch their next musical assault and their appearance as part of this show marks a very welcome return to the stage.

10 Days in Dublin 2012 performers Come On Live Long and Tujacques contribute to an exciting and eclectic mix, while producer Benny Smiles completes an amazing line-up of Dublin talent for the night.

Doors at 8pm, with DJs playing late into the night.

For anyone else who is thinking of coming along, here is the latest update from the Facebook site:

    10 Days in Dublin

Hey guys - we've had a few queries about tickets for tomorrow's night show so we just want to make sure there's no confusion.

There are 100% definitely still tickets on sale. There was, unfortunately, a bit of an issue on Tuesday evening where we weren't able to sell any more through the sales site. This was corrected as soon as it was brought to our attention on Wednesday morning and we did our best to make that clear to folks. However, we're very sorry for any confusion caused. The tickets are on sale from here: http://bit.ly/Wq9WCg

If you're coming down (and we'll be delighted if you are), we would strongly advise you to try and book your ticket in advance as it may sell out before the show.

Hey Folks, I know there are comments on FB saying the gig is sold out but I just went to the entertainment.ie ticket page at the bit.ly link above and it is offering me tickets. So I suggest trying it out.
