Gill Ryder
Gill Ryder is a solo singer-songwriter from Dublin. Her songs consist of soft melodies which compliment her poetic writing style. After spending the last year gigging regularly in Bristol she is eager to explore the Dublin live scene. Inspiration comes largely from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Mazzy Star, Katie Kim and the Staves.

Fresh from their appearance at The Vibe for Philo; this hot young band of rockers will bring bristling energy to Gypsy Rose and defy us to stand watching!!

We are delighted to add a new dimension to our monthly gigs; inviting back the 'cream of the crop' from previous gigs, starting with Lorcan James, who played a storming set one year ago when we were still in nappies!!
2012 has been a busy year for this hard-working act; performing on Newstalk‘s ‘Shenanigans with Sile’, as well as TG4 & Near Fm. They also played on four stages at Electric Picnic and recently performed at the MRU Music Awards, having been nominated for ‘Best Alternative Rock Act’. Also in December 2012 Lorcan James opened with an acoustic set for the legend that is Liam O Maonlai. Welcome back boys!!

Top night! Gill Ryder I was sorry to have missed but heard was brilliant. Lorcan James sang some great sounding melodic songs, Future Phantom gave us a great fix of hard rock and Elevation Falls were a very lively entertaining group of punk rockers! Really enjoyable music!!

Another super night of original music and meeting new people! Gill Ryder was superb; beautiful voice and lyrics, understated with a relaxed stage presence. Future Phantoms really rocked out and got the place stomping; Lorcan James band kept it going superbly, and Elevation Falls blew the roof off the joint, which is a great achievement for a basement venue!! Looking forward to March 22nd already; great line-up already in the bag!!
