Art + Music Festival

Here's the full schedule for the fest. The easiest way will be to meet lets say from 6 pm on the hour at the newspaper stand on the corner of 4th and Main. Right along side of Rockslide. For those that are there, please check there for others. Don't be afraid to ask if they are a part of GJS.
Feel free to post under comments if you're going to something there and want to meet others. Kathy and I have other plans but may make it to the final concert about 9ish. We would love to see it.
Feel free to call or text. If you want to be a contact person and will be there post your cell if you'd like. Thanks everybody

May 9-11, 2014
4:00pm - 10:00pm

This Mother’s Day Weekend, Main Street is alive with a celebration of art and music! Explore music performed by local and national musicians, enjoy artist demonstrations in a variety of media, socialize with friends and neighbors, and browse high-quality artwork.

This year we’re featuring 4 stages: The Main Stage at 4th and Main will feature headline acts. There will also be smaller stages at 3rd and Main, and in breezeways on the 500 and 600 block of Main Street where musicians will be performing.

Please BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR to this event if you want to sit down during the performances!

The layout of the Festival also allows attendees to stroll down 4 blocks of Main Street with a glass of Canyon Wind wine or Rockslide beer (the only event of the year that this is possible), so don’t forget to stop by the beer and wine garde n or at the canned beer and wine stations at the auxiliary stages!

Sunday features the local performance showcase: musicians and performers are invited to come out and perform on the street starting at 11am, or to take the stage at our open mic at the 3rd and Main stage at 12:30 to audition for a performance slot at the 2014 Farmers’ Market!

The Main Street Art School is also returning this year! This unique program from Oakley Gallery and The Grand Valley Art Students League offers FREE beginning art lessons in watercolors, pastels, bead jewelry design, charcoal drawing, and more! (there is a $7 fee for supplies). Click here for more information on the schedule and how to sign up.
