3 rd Annual Rockslide "Keeping Music Live" Festival

This is in the 4 Corners area, Cortez, Co. 3rd Annual Keeping Music Live Festival

Yes folks, its true. The Rockslide Annual Keeping Music Festival is happening again, and this year promises to be the best yet. We are moving it up to July 28th. There will be 2 stages this year for continual music. One stage for all the solo/duo acts and another for the bands. We will also be doing Musicians Musical Chairs again. There will be food vendors available. Bring your own beverage, or you can buy from one of the vendors. As in the past he festival is free and is a family event. There will be a map to the festival posted soon on here and facebook.

We can stay at Jimmy's (camping in the yard or sleeping bags on the floor) We'll do breakfast Sunday morning. Some may want to go down early and come back after. As we get closer we'll get the details figured out. This maybe the last year it's free. Bring your own drinks and food in.

It's from 12:00 (noon) to 10:00 pm. There will be 9 bands from the area and Dallas,TX, Albuquerque, N.M. and more. They'll have several solo performers. The first year they had 200 people, last year over 500. They have been asked to do it starting next year at Echo Basin Ranch in Mancos, Co. The guy that asked them is the gentleman that started and runs the Telluride Jazz Fest. He will be there and promoting this event. This event will have every type of music. Keep in mind "Rockslide" has opened the last 3 years and will again for the Telluride Jazz Fest. They have opened for Joan Jett and others. Check out their web site http://www.rockslidecolorado.com

We can come back through Telluride and make some stops along the way. Maybe even some short hiking with a picnic lunch. Some great hiking by Trout Lake up to Ice Lake.

If you have questions post them under comments.

I'll check on some Hotels in that area. I used to live in the area for 15 years and maybe able to get some good pricing.

Some may want to go down Fri late. We can set up car pooling for different times and plans. Maybe we can have a planning meeting a week or so before.

Some may want to share a room! Great news, Several of you were asking about hotels in the area. Jimmy has a special rate for this event. One of the nicest hotels in the area(Baymont) is give attendees a rate of $39 a night. So you can come on down Sat. morning, stay all day get some sleep and head back. We may do so hiking in some beautiful areas around Rico & Telluride. Call me if you have questions. This will be an awesome event.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
