Announcing a new Meetup for Glass Half Full!

What: Dinner at Christies & theater @ Univ. of Portland "Our Town"

When: Friday, November 12,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Christie's Restaurant
5507 N Lombard St.
Portland, OR 97203

Another meetup in our college theater series - This time it is one of the most iconic American plays 'The Town'. Our Town is a three-act pulitzer prize winning play by playwright Thornton Wilder. It is a character story about an average town's citizens in the early twentieth century as depicted through their everyday lives in Grover's corner, New Hampshire. Since its premiere in the 1930s Our Town has become an American stage treasure and is Wilder's most renowned and frequently performed play.

Here are reviews for the play -

The show doesn't start until 7.30, but can we meet for dinner at Christie's at 6.00? Christies serves delicious, but reasonably priced cuisine. I have been here before and liked it a lot.

If you want to meet us directly at the theater, meet at the box office at Mago Hunt Center in the University of Portland campus. Google maps shows where that building is. It is right next to Joe Etzel field. Closest cross streets are N Portsmouth Ave and N Strong Ave(97203). You can call me at[masked] if you can't find me. It helps if you can mention in your RSVP, if you are coming just for the play or for both the dinner and the play.
