My wife and I had a great time playing one of our old favorites "Ticket-To-Ride." It's been so long since we've played the original vanilla version, we were a little rusty on the exact wording of the rules. Dave, Tom and Carlos helped us out.
I would like to invite folks in the Delaware Valley to join our boardgaming group at The Comic Book Store in Glassboro, NJ. Glassboro, home of Rowan University, is in southern New Jersey, about 25 minutes from Philadelphia. The group was founded to play Axis & Allies, and we continue to play that game fairly regularly. However, we now play a much wider variety of boardgames such as Settlers of Catan and have open boardgaming nights several times a month. On the first Thursday of the month, starting around 5:30pm, we meet to play war games such as Memoir 44, Axis & Allies, and Twilight Struggle. On the third Thursday of the month, we have a boardgame night focused on modern designer games with club members teaching new games. On second and fourth Thursdays, there is open gaming of all types, Crokinole, Magic, modern boardgames, and more. Players of all experience levels are welcome. So, join us if and when you can! -- Bill Carrigan, Co-Founder, Delaware Valley Boardgaming Club
