About South Florida Glass Art Meetup Group

The South Florida Glass Art Meetup group is for people interested in learning about glass fusing, glass slumping, dichroic glass, jewelry making, glass painting... Well just about anything you can do with glass, we even have some people making glass tiles for their kitchen back splashes.

We meet at MIY Ceramics and Glass Studio in Hollywood, FL. They teach both ceramics and glass fusing class in their studio and we get to use the space as well, to host our meetups! Our group classes and hands on sessions are great ways to relax and meet people that are different from what you deal with on your day to day. Everyone is really friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Working with glass is really rewarding because it is difficult to make mistakes, almost everything comes out of the kiln is a keeper and those that aren't can always be modified. So it is a really forgiving medium in which to work.
