How Things are Done in China: Now and in the Future

During this Event 2 expert keynote speakers will talk about how things are done in China on a business, cultural and political level. What is so special about China? Will China be affected or perhaps benefit from the present economic turmoil? Will China’s own development model remain the same? How can we learn from the Chinese, and how can we use this knowledge to act upon it?

From 2003 till 2007, Ruud has been General Manager of 2 Joint-Ventures where he managed over 600 Chinese employees, followed by Director Manufacturing Services and Project Manager for a major M&A project. Next to this he has been active as Vice-president of the BenCham, Beijing Chapter and member of the Supervisory Board of the European Chamber of Commerce in China.

Speaker 2: Jan van der Putten, founder Eyes on China

In the past Jan van der Putten was stationed in Beijing as a China correspondent for the Dutch publications “de Volkskrant”, ”De Groene Amsterdammer”, and the Radio Nederland World Broadcast Service.
He now has his own business called Eyes on China, specialized in financial and legal services to foreign companies in China, and is an actively sought after lecturer and commentator. He is also the author of seven books about China.

The location is different than the regular Global BDN Event location!
It will be held in Pakhuis de Zwijger, Piet Heinkade 179 Amsterdam

Entrance Fee:
The Event is FREE for registered Global BDN Members that have RSVP-ed.
Non registered members have to pay entrance fee and be on a list.

Who is coming, who can I meet?
In the period before the event you can find the list of Global BDN members who already registered so far, the invitation list of De Baak is not online, but we expect an international interested crowd with interesting backgrounds. Houserules
This Event is non-profit and free of charge to our members.
Members are required to RVSP 'Yes' to get admitted.

    It was quite an interesting event. Eventhough i was never in China before, but the presentations by the speakers and contribution from the audience shaped my view and earlier perception of "how business is done in china" Hope to be part of the next event. Thanks to Global BDN and de Baak for organizing this event.
