Welcome to Global BDN - Amsterdam Event
Global BDN brings together, both Dutch and International, entrepreneurs and professionals to share thoughts and ideas. The event is primarily about you; the right network people networking in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
Event theme: Informal Investment
Informal investment is an art, not a science. Our guest speaker Martijn Blom of ‘De Investeerdersclub’ will reveal the secrets of informal investment. What are the do’s and don’ts of a (starting) business angel? Where to look at, when investing in innovative young businesses. After this short sneak preview, most likely some preselected entrepreneurs will pitch their proposition to you. So be prepared to practice the art yourself!
Our Guest Speaker: Martijn Blom: Investing entrepreneur.Co-founder of ‘De Investeerdersclub’ and droomzaken. Start-Up rencencist at FD Entrepreneur (Starter Doorgelicht) and co-author of ‘Handboek Informal Investment’.
About Martijn Blom: Martijn started his career at JongeHonden, where he got infected with the entrepreneurial virus. When he became too old, bold and married to present himself as a ‘jonge hond’, he started to invest his expertise, energy and money in mainly start-up companies.
To share knowledge and experience with other (starting) investors, he was co-founded ‘De Investeerdersclub’, Hollands most informal informal investors network. This organization grew to be a club of over 50 active investors that participated in 17 companies up until now in 2012 resulting from a selection of over 600 companies that contact them each year. Martijn is living in Breda with his wife and two little daughters. Tortures himself occasionally by taking a short run and is irrationally passionate about NAC Breda (Football Club).
