Welcome to Global BDN - Amsterdam Event

Global BDN brings together, both Dutch and International, entrepreneurs and professionals to share thoughts and ideas. The event is primarily about you; the right network people networking in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

Event theme: Crowdfunding

Crowdfunding refers to individuals, companies or project owners who network and pool their money to support a common goal. The phenomenon has grown significantly over the recent years. In 2012 a total of 2.8 billion dollars was raised via crowdfunding on a global level.

Our Guest Speaker:

This event we are honored to have Pim Betist , a true crowdfunding pioneer, as our speaker.

As founder of SellaBand he was one of the first in the world to integrate "crowdfunding" in a disruptive model designed to cut out the middle man and support musicians in their careers. As a consultant he supported ABN Amro in becoming the first bank to launch a crowdfunding platform.

Pim is a member of Speakers Academy, is behind several ventures such as Africa Unsigned and speaks internationally about Crowdfunding and Crowdsourcing related topics.

Checkout this 2009 DWDD TV video of Pim Betist about Sellaband at the time.

Pim will take us on a journey in which he describes the brief history of crowdfunding and share his vision on how crowdfunding will turn the financial world upside down!
