Keystone Pipeline/Tar Sands Solidarity Action at Downtown LA's Union Station

Have you heard about what the tar sands project and Keystone XL pipeline will mean for our climate and the future of clean energy in this country?  President Obama will make the decision and he needs to hear from us.  Thousands of people are converging on Washington DC on Sunday to completely surround the White House. We'll let President Obama know, in no uncertain terms, that we're holding him to the promises he made -- and we'll demand that he stand up to Big Oil and stop the Keystone XL pipeline. The crowd circling the White House will be carrying signs with quotes from the President's 2008 campaign, quotes like "let this be the generation that finally frees itself from the tyranny of oil." It's going to be absolutely beautiful. A Los Angeles event is being planned in solidarity with the Tar Sands Action in DC on November 6. You can find more details regarding it at: or through at .  Lots of college students from Pomona and Claremont colleges have signed up for this action.  Join us!
