Hello,

We hope you are well.
Crush Creative and Agency Rush are delighted to be back at the fantastic Create photographic studios for our 8th Glug this June. We have a great line up and special guest Al Murphy will be sure to get you smiling.

A huge thanks to our wonderful sponsors, Mayo Wynne Baxter for supporting Glug, Create for their fantastic venue. Also BAV for all the technical equipment and Exhibit Printing. We couldn't do it without you.

Mayo Wynne Baxter is one of the regions largest law firms covering almost every area of law. With over 200 staff they operate from 5 offices across Sussex. They are only one of a few law firms that have a specialist team to support the Media and Creative Industries (MACI) and we understand how important intellectual property issues can be to any business. Ensuring that you have an understanding of trademark, patent and copyright law issues could ultimately decide the longevity of any company, particularly creative businesses involved with design, arts, media and the web.

For a chat about how they can help protect your creativity why not call their MACI team on[masked] or visit www.mayowynnebaxter.co.uk

Right now lets get to it, here is the line up for our 8th Glug ...

Al Murphy
The wonderful, charismatic Al Murphy will be giving us the low down on his influences, the things he likes and how they have shaped his work over the past 12 years. Talking also about some of the experiences that have inspired certain pieces of his work and the 'humour' behind it. Al has a host of fancy clients including Coca Cola, Orange, Vodafone, the BBC, EMI, MTV and exhibited in LA, Sydney, Stockholm and Paris. Not to forget he's lived and exhibited work in Berlin, London & New York and most importantly played in Phil Collin's backing band (FACT)!

Be sure to check out Ink-d, Brighton, for a very special show by Al Murphy this summer, with a private view on the 14th June.

Lost Values / Elena Corchero
Lost Values holds the vision of innovating craft by melding it with technology and vice versa, to inspire a future where design is environmental and emotional yet smart and playful. Elena develops products which are meaningful, which will hopefully be treasured and cared for, and never discarded or simply consumed. Consider it to be as much a question of sustainability as it is of design.

Al Murphy Installation
http://welovecreate.com/
Al Murphy is teaming up with Matt Ring, a very talented set designer from Create to build a unique Al themed set. There will be an opportunity for all Gluggers to get involved as Create take photos of us in a strange new land.

Agency Rush / Pop Up Shop
Due to popular demand we are pleased to announce the opening of our lovely new Print Shop which we will be launching at Glug to coincide with our shiny new website. There will be screen prints and giclees available to order on the night - all exclusive to AR. The printing of our giclee prints and our signage is being done by the fantastic Exhibit Printing from New England House - we are very excited and are really looking forward to showing you our goodies on the night!

Ruffmercy / Moving image
In Russ's own words ... RUFFMERCY AKA Russ Murphy is an ol' has been assed animator with questionable talent who's trying his hardest to atone for previous design & animation crimes committed throughout his 15yrs in the industry. This consists of mustering up whatever rusty ol' skills he has left to try and make the work he dreamed of making when he was a 13 year old kid full of dreams. He lives in Bristol with his partner and twin boys.

Generation Press / Pop Up Exhibit
Generation Press will be setting up their first ever GP Pop Up Shop™ and will be showing samples and making available some very special editions designed by Build, on the night…

Mein / Portrait Booth
Photographer Alex Thirlwell has teamed up with set builder Matt Ring to devise a unique installation. Collecting a series of portraits using a one-way mirror - present yourself how you wish to be seen... You won’t be sure what your image will look like until you are projected for all to see, so remember to show your best side! All will make sense on the night, honest.

See you there

Good concept but poorly organised. Not having chairs around for an event that is supposed to be four hour long doesn't make any sense.
