Glug London presents -'SO Together' London Design Week Event

Hello,

We're pleased to announce details of our special, one off all building event for London Design Week on Thursday 24th September. Once again, and possibly for the last time in 2009 we'll be at the Queen of Hoxton, taking over all three floors - roof terrace & bbq, ground floor and basement!

Expect a summer fete style event with various installations, exhibitions, tutorials and live art/design throughout the building 6pm-8.30pm. Followed by a selection of talks (15mins each) in the basement from 8.30pm.

SO together will showcase various Studio Output projects, alongside all our collaborators and friends who we've worked with over the past 2 years. Joining us on the night will be:

6pm - 2am finish - TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW!

Tickets are priced at £5, however we're also offering a free limited edition Glug goody bag to the first 400 people to purchase tickets (800 tickets available). This event will be ticket only so I'm afraid you'll have to get them through the meetup.com using the Pay Pal feature. Sorry if this is an inconvenience to anyone but it's the easiest way for us to do it and make sure who gets the bags.

Ltd Edition Glug tote bags include - SO Together printed tabloid fanzine, with work from all the featured artists and creative studios, interviews and insights, Stickers & Badges, Breakin Bread Mix Cd, plus and various other bits.

Over the next few weeks we'll be announcing further additions to the line up - currently we're looking to add an acoustic band on the roof terrace and various, fun antics throughout the building.

Based on interest so far and pre-booked tickets we're expecting this to sell out pretty quickly so please get your tickets asap to avoid missing out and not getting a bag!

Hope you like the line-up so far, and look forward to seeing you on the night.
Thanks
Ian & Nick

It was a really good event, shame that the stage was very dark, the sound crap and the place was so hot, otherwise Well Done!

A great way to get like-minded people together for a bit of networking, or simply a good old yarn and a drink. I saw Studio Output's talk and it was very interesting, and I loved that you could dip in and dip out of things. Will be mentioning it to the rest of the crew here and hopefully they'll be along with me next time. Great idea Nick and Ian, well done.

My whole office and I attended and although we had a nice evening out, we didn't meet any new people. It was amazing to have a couple of glasses of bubbly and some chili included and it made for a lovely cheap night out. Atmosphere wise I think the venue was a little cramped for checking out the photoshop project or listening to the talks. The rooftop was lovely and it was nice to be able to sit outside and talk. But when we came it it was so loud and packed, that it was the end of all conversations. I really loved the idea of meeting up with lots of designers and maybe meeting some interesting new people.. but that didn't quite happen.
