Glug London to Glug Brighton Summer Beach Party (& bike ride...)

Hello Gluggers,

We're very pleased to announce advance details of our Beach Party Brighton event on the 9th July! Yes, it's true, we're off for a jolly boys (& girls) outing...

For this special Glug we're linking up with our friends at Agency Rush and Crush and the Glug Brighton crew who've arranged a Friday evening party at Coalition (http://www.brightonco...) on Brighton Beach. We'll be taking up to 400 people from London for this brilliant evening event and including talks by the likes of Airside, Mainframe, Sudio Conran and Malcolm Goldie. The venue holds up to 800 people in total so with our Brighton brethren it's set to be a pretty special evening.

The original idea was to organise a proper bike ride down but unfortunately due to health and safety red tape, we're only able to do this on the 'down low'. If you're interested in riding with us from sunny Clerkenwell to sunny Brighton email me @ [masked] for further details (we're going to be leaving at 12 midday to get there for the evening event) - Studio teams are more than welcome!

The party at Coalition starts at 6pm - till very late. Tickets are £7.50 and will include amongst other things a free drink and entry to the event. All profits from the event and from the bike ride will be going to Shelter the homeless trust:

You can buy tickets and RSVP here now, I'm afraid Glug London only has an allocation of 400 tickets for this, so please get them soon to avoid missing out:

We hope you're as excited as us by the prospect of an evening in Brighton, an afternoon on the beach and hopefully a great chance to meet up with all the Glug Brighton creatives. To find out more information about the host of entertainment and speakers we have, please read on.

Thanks
Ian (& Nick)

It was great. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Had lots of promise. The ticketing thing didn't seem to work very well, myself and others weren't on the list, but had confirmation email (2 days prior). Venue was really nice but for me the problem was the talks. I was expecting something more educational than just looking at a load of people's showreels, which would have been ok if you could do anything else but the layout of the venue kind of forced it on you, was looking forward to chatting to more people but couldn't so decided to leave. The playing card thing seemed like a good idea in theory too, but everyone just seemed frustrated trying to find the person they needed, just so they could get a drink. Again, impossible when everyone was watching the talks. As for the bike ride, I live in Brighton so didn't do it, did think they were being optimistic with the time it would take and it didn't seem there was anywhere for them to put the bikes when they finally made it.
