Maggiano's Little Italy (map)
THE AFTER-PARTY!!
***UPDATE: MORE ROOM ADDED! The manager of Maggiano's (Alex) has graciously invited us to bring more people to the GF Family Style Italian Feast. I've increased the RSVP limit to 35 for now. RSVP ASAP while the slots are open! ***
***UPDATE #2: MENU CONFIRMED (Updated)! Our party will be getting plate after plate (all you can eat!) of all of the following to share family-style: GF Chop Salad (Vegetarian, [maybe DF]), GF Ceasar Salad, GF Grilled Calamari (DF), GF Mozzarella & Tomato Caprese (Vegetarian), GF Fusilli Marinara (Vegetarian, DF), GF Fusilli Alfredo w/ Brocolli (Vegetarian), GF Fusilli (Rigatoni) D (w/ Chicken, Mushrooms & Caramelized Onions in Cream Sauce), Baked (Ziti) GF Fusilli w/ Melted Mozzarella & GF Italian Sausage, with GF Creme Brulee (Vegetarian, DF) and Seasonal Fruit Plates (Vegetarian, DF) for dessert! Whew! PS-We've traded our 2 entree items for 2 more GF Pasta options. ***
After the Gluten Free Market Vendor Fair & Shopping Trip up to 25 of us will be gathering at the nearby Maggioano's Little Italy for a fantastic, all-you-can-eat GF Family Style Italian Feast. The way the Family Style menu works is you select your 2 preferences from a number of options for each of the following courses: Appetizer, Salad, Pasta, Entree & Dessert. Then, they keep bringing plate after plate of each course until the whole "Family" is ready for the next course. One of the chefs will come to the table to help us make sure everything we order is 100% gluten free. The GF Pasta they use is a corn pasta, and it's delicious!
The last time I went to Maggiano's (with fellow Meetup members Mo & his wife Mehnaz and their beautiful kids) we ordered:
The menu is prixe fixe, and will cost $30 per person. To make the bill-settling process go as smoothly as possible afterward I'll be collecting the $30 from everyone when we arrive...so please bring CASH!! Just makes things easier that way...
The cost may seem expensive, but includes all the food and non-alcoholic drinks, and tips for the waiters...plus, in addition to eating all that we want, there will probably be plenty for everyone to take home for later!
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Keep in mind, the 25 person limit is strictly set by the restaurant, so the first 25 people to RSVP are all that can come! If you can't make the Gluten Free Market Vendor Fair, but still want to come for the Feast, feel free to RSVP only for the dinner.
NOTE: Those who need transportation to/from NYC will need to stay for both the Vendor Fair AND the GF Feast, unless you can arrange for some alternative way to or from either event. The big caravan will be going to and coming from BOTH events.

TRANSPORTATION
As we have done in the past, we will be attempting to coordinate transportation options so that anyone who wants to come will have a way to get there!
For those coming from NYC, we're going to meet at a central Jersey City collection point (see address below) at 10:30AM near the Grove St PATH station in Jersey City. From there we will be driving to the Gluten Free Market together. Anyone who has wheels and plans to drive to the event, and is interested in inviting a few friends into their cars, please let me know so I can coordinate carpooling. We may also rent a small van or bus to bring people if there aren't enough carpoolers available. Transportation home will be to the Jersey City collection Point (or possibly to the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal with ferries going to Manhattan).
For those driving directly there, we'll see you at the Gluten Free Market at 12:00PM!! Please let me know if you need directions.
