Hack Attack is a free-form weekly get-together under the umbrella of GNOCode for hackers to dedicate time towards working on a new fun side projects and ideas outside of their normal work domain. By encouraging the start of side projects, the ideas is to inspire local hackers to expand their current working knowledge and have fun programming without limits. The aim is to give hackers the physical location, the allotted time during the week, and the social support to do what they do best: actually code stuff. There are no official presentations / talks / panels / central projects / etc. - it is literally just a day set aside each week for you to dedicate yourself to writing code for fun together with your local fellow hackers. You're of course free to come in and work on anything you want. Perhaps you want to contribute some code to your favorite open-source project, explore some new technology you've always been meaning to learn, or start a new tech-driven side business. Work on anything you want; the only requirement is that you come in ready to hack on something, and have some fun exploring technology. There is also no set level of experience required to attend: it's open to all developers, both veterans and newbies. Also, Hack Attack is planning to meet every Monday (starting on the 17th) from 7:15pm to 10:00pm at Launchpad's suite 102, and, as there are no set presentations, you're welcome to come later and leave earlier if needed, it's up to you.
