Elixir = Erlang |> Ruby

Elixir is a new functional language with a Ruby-like syntax that targets the same virtual machine as Erlang. With it you can write highly scalable, fault tolerant, concurrent and distributed applications. This presentation will discuss it's short history, some of the language features, some of the libraries and tools available, and why you should give it a try.
