Hello gnocoders,

First of all, thanks to everyone who came out for the Eric Normand's very informative Clojure talk last week. We also got a quick tour of the new created by the Code for America fellows for New Orleans. Finally, Anh Luong ([address removed]) let us know her company is seeking a CTO to lead development of their corporate travel web app.

We've got two really great meetups coming in November and December. In November, Chris Boyd, from the Objective Crunk meetup, will share his work with Transport for NOLA and their Ride app. And then in December, GE Capital is going to tell us all about the GE Capital Technology Center starting up here in New Orleans. Should be a great way to finish out the year.

And on that note, I announced at our past meeting that as of January 2013 I am handing leadership of gnocode to Cory Fabre. It's been an awesome three years starting and growing this group, but it felt like the right time to see what new places the group can go. I'll still be right here in New Orleans, doing the same stuff and I'm sure I'll pop my head in occasionally. Thanks again.

See you next month,

Barrett M. Conrad
