The choir I sing in gives its yearly Christmas concert, on December 1 in Altstetten. I just love the program we are preparing (which is good - otherwise, it could be painful to sing it), among others:
Louis Vierne "Messe solennelle" for choir and two organs
Zoltán Kodály "Laudes Organi"
César Franck, choir and organ piecees
Tickets can be ordered at www.laudate.ch (starting on October 21). I will post details as to the best region to sit in, later, but wanted to post the event, already, as the Christmas season is always busy. You can also come spontaneously, it is a big church - by the way, the organ is just a year old and the sound is magnificent.
To get there: Tram 2 to Lindenplatz, cross the square, walk up the stairs, you can already see the church tower.
We are always looking for good new singers, especially men, so if you are looking for a choir, this might be a chance to check us out. In any event, if interested in trying the choir, just send me a message.
If at least five people are interested to do so, we could go for dinner afterwards. Please let me know a week before, and I will make a reservation.
