Hilary Hahn, a young american star violinist is coming to town.
She is really something special. Her sound is completely
humble and simple. But at the same time right, limpid and
amazing. Quite different from the other circuit stars that are
a show of strength. I really love listening to her play. The
grammies got it right, so did Deutsche Grammophon (the top
classical music label). This time she is playing with a local
orchestra the 5th Mozart Violin Concerto. They will also be playing
a symphony by Mozart, as well as some Britten (an UK composer of
the war period), and some Elgar (another UK composer).
The concert is at the Tonhalle but sold through the website of
the Zürcher Kammer Orchester
www.zko.ch. Or call directly the

I suggest we all take places on the 'GALLERIE LINKS' as those
are cheap, in the range of 35-50 chf, and their should be enought
for all of us. If you dont get one there, no worries we will meet
at the break.
We will go for drinks afterwards if we feel like it.
