WOW Women vary in ability. Some are training for a specific goal like a half marathon or a 10K Race. Some have marathons planned in the future. Others come out solely for the social time combined with the exercise. Walking for 60 minutes is a great workout as is a 60 minute run. And if you happen to be in the middle, using run/walk technique, that's great too!
You must be able to move for 60 minutes. The pace doesn't matter. The goal doesn't matter. If you can't move at a brisk pace for 60 minutes you will not have fun. We are definitely into this for fitness!
WOW Participants Include:
1. Fitness runners, walkers, or run/walkers who can move for at least 60 minutes. No particular racing goals
2. Recreational Fitness - 10-15 min/mile - sometimes compete
3. Runners/Racers - 7 - 10 min/miles, compete often, want to be fast
Organized by certified running coach Stephanie Atwood.
