Why: Workouts, Consistency, and Coaching from a Pro
If you are a female runner, the SF Women's Running Meetup Group is for you! We offer 2 workouts a week - join one or both. Tuesday we do track workouts at Kezar Stadium and Saturday we do long tempo runs - EVERY WEEK, ALL YEAR 'ROUND.
We are THE WOW Team. We offer workouts throughout the entire Bay Area - currently 5 a week and growing. The San Francisco schedule shows you a calendar of what is occurring in SF. If you want to see the entire calendar, go to our site at http://gowowteam.com/calendar. It lists all workouts and events. When you join our group as a long term member you can attend any of our workouts. The drop-in fee is for women who are not sure yet, or just can't participate on a regular basis.
The San Francisco group of women is running focused and works on improvement while the East Bay group has more diversity. Please contact me if you have questions about The WOW Team. We are very active and recruiting all women who have an interest in lifelong fitness through running, walking, and the outdoors.
Let's see what we can do, as a group of women, to make this work for us. I'm willing to do a lot of the footwork and, I love running. I'd be happy to include a broader group of abilities including walkers, trail runners, etc. in San Francisco - just need to see the interest and commitment from you ladies! Tell me what else you want.

Java Beach has two good meetup locations for our WOW runs. The Zoo location offers access to Lake Merced and the whole coastline. Parking is easy and free across the street. We'll meet right outside the cafe to start our run.
The consistent factor in the Saturday, San Francisco runs is that they will always be a minimum of 60 minutes of steady movement, running hard. A tempo workout. Read more
