Yes, that's one of the alternatives to which I was referring. But, also important to note that the kinds of apps you'll be able to create using Flash CS5 will very definitely not be fully-functional iPhone apps. They'll have pretty distinct limits to their functionality.

It has a steep learning curve, and requires an experience programmer (and lots of time) to learn. There's simply no teaching this to a "non-techie."
