18 Holes at Chick Evans Golf Course

Hi, Golfers:
On Sunday August 12 at 11:00 am, we will golf 18 holes at Chick Evans Golf course in Morton Grove.
This is another inexpensive and well-maintained Cook County Forest Preserve course. If you've never played there before, it's a fairly easy course -- IF you can make it past holes 2 and 3.
The second hole has water on the left and trees on the right, with a narrow fairway in between and a hole protected by bunkers.
The dreaded par 5 third hole starts out surrounded by water on three sides -- you have to hit over water from the tee box and not go left or right into the water. Then you have to stay straight on your second shot (same reason), then hit over water again to land on a green that is surrounded on two sides by forest.
Once you get through these holes, it's fairly easy sailing -- until you hit the 17th and 18th holes. The par four 17 makes you lay up before water, then hit over that water to an elevated green. The par 3 18th makes you hit from an elevated tee over a ravine and through trees on either side to a green below.
On the flip side, there are a lot of 250-320 yard par fours. So if you don't score doubke digits on those four holes named above then hey -- maybe you break 100!
This is an inexpensive course! The greens fee is $31, $26 if you have the Cook County Card (the yearly card, NOT the Insta-Pass red card). The cost of the meetup will be:

Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel no later than 8:00 a.m. Saturday you get a refund. If the weather includes a probability of rain that is more than an occasional drizzle, the event will be cancelled and all monies refunded. If you cancel on the day of the event AND I CAN GET YOUR MONEY BACK FROM THE COURSE, you will get a refund. If you cancel on the day of the event, CHANGE YOUR RSVP.
