No more than 1/2 hour: There are too many great public courses within 15-20 minutes of where I live. Would rather be golfing than driving - in a car, that is!
Sagamore/Lynnfield, New Meadows/Topsfield, Unicorn/Stoneham (mostly because it's 3 m. from my home!). Lived in the Berkshires for 15 years, we belonged to Pittsfield CC. Fabulous course with many gorgeous tee-box views. I really miss it....
I generally can't play during the week - although I usually take Fridays off in July/August. Because of other commitments (family etc.), it's difficult for me to make a VERY early tee time - unless the course is close to where I live.
Absolutely! It gives one a good excuse for a bad shot: "Ugh! The club slipped in my hands...."
Yes. Except for perhaps real beginners - especially those who don't have the etiquette down pat. That being said, I’ve played w/ people who’ve been golfing for years – and still grounded their club in a sand trap!
Hi there! Am anxious play some golf......if the snow ever melts. :-O
