Because we didn't get enough golfers to make a group, I've canceled Oak Marsh for this upcoming Sunday. As an alternative you may want to consider golfing at Deer Run on Saturday, as there are a few open spots there OR you can consider going to the Seniors Championship Tour this Sunday at TPC in Blaine. The cost for that if FREE and it's a chance to see some great golfers.
Then I would also like to give some not so nice news, however please keep in mind this doesn't apply to all. So those of you who always show up and aren't consistently late for you scheduled tee time you can stop here and delete the rest of this email. For others please keep reading.
This past week I had 2 no-shows at Meadowbrook and one at Chomonix. Like it says in the "Home/About" page for this MeetUp this isn't acceptable.
Tee times are like airplane reservations...You will miss your plane if you're late and it's not acceptable to the airlines when a person doesn't cancel their reservation or make other arrangements.
That's why this MeetUp is different from other MeetUps. A no-show or being consistently late (and you all know who you are) isn't acceptable. Therefore, instead of the organizers having to remove people from this group because a person is a no-show at least twice or are consistently late, we'd appreciate it if you'd remove yourself.
A no-show and/or consistently late person isn't fun or fair to the rest of the people who show up and are on time. I've been lucky this season in that I haven't had to pay for the no-shows, but that can change at any time.
Yes, this is harsh, but it's also fair to those who are committed to the game of golf and who understand what it means to commit to a tee time.
Regards, Your Organizers - Sue, Lee Anne and Victor
Meet other local Golfers who can't always find a golf partner and want to get out on the links.
We are made up of a group of people (married and single) who love chasing that little 'ole white (orange, yellow, green, blue or pink) ball around. We've even done it in the dark. Being a good golfer is not a prerequisite or a necessity, as we are just about enjoying the game and most importantly being outside. Having fun is a necessity and there is no need to even keep score, unless you want to that is.
Newcomers, seasoned golfers and especially those hackers, are encouraged to come on out to play with us. We try to get to different courses throughout the Twin Cities and Wisconsin. Trying different courses is a lot of fun and in some cases challenging. Whether choosing to play 9 or 18 holes it doesn't matter, as we'll accomodate all to the best of our ability.
